Where is Everyone?

Melissa and I went down to see my new great-nephew Vin, born in November. Boy was that fun. What a beautiful baby! We also managed to keep to our diet, wow! That's hard to do when you are travelling. I always have a Bloody Mary on the plane. But, this time I had a Virgin Mary! Unfortunately, most of it ended up in my lap. Anyway, I am 152 lbs this morning and heading down! What's up with the rest of you?

I am having trouble getting back in the saddle on this diet thing. In fact I can't find my horse. I forgot to weigh in this morning. I will find my hores, I will find my horse, I will fin..........

I'm chanting the same mantra as Buffy. I will weigh tonight. I have to wait because I've been weighing on my mom's scale and I didn't make it over there yet.

Hey! By the grace and mercy of God, not due to lack of cheating on my part, I lost 2 pounds! I'm at 160. Today I am starting a food journal. I read in a magazine that Sarah gave me that Pam gave to her that the greatest factor in weight loss is not diet or exercise, but what you write down. Has anyone else done this? Is it helpful? Where is our new dieter Michelle?

I've used a food journal before, and it was very successful. It seems like I was more reluctant to have to write down my cheating. It's very time consuming, but useful, especially if you are still trying to figure out how many calories things are.

Yeah, Buffy!! The big pot of soup must have paid off! =) Last I talked with Michelle, she was still trying to figure out how to post on here. I'll call her today to see if she needs help, or if she has just been too busy to do it yet.

Yea Buf! I have been using a food journal. I agree that it's very helpful. The down side...the more I think about food, the more I tend to eat.

I weigh 159. That's one pound down.
I have been a super slacker as far as eating but I have been exercising so I guess that's helped. I've been better on the eating for the last two days so hopefully next week I'll do better!

I mean 139. Duh. Whoops I actually gained 20 pounds. Hehe

UGH! I though I lost a pound but I actually gained a pound!! What the heck. My start weight was 138! I weighed 140 at night but I weighed 138 the next morning (Wednesday). Darn it!

Hi...hope I did this right. Kay signed me up but struggled to figure this out! :-) Never know I am paid to be on a computer! My weight last Wendesday (1/16) was 150 and this week 148.
